Do yourself a favor: If you want to see one of the greatest college basketball players of a generation in pursuit of the greatest prize, tune into the NCAA women’s championship game Sunday at 12:30 p.m. PT.

“Iowa’s incandescent star” reads the headline on Sally Jenkins’ column in the Washington Post, and it’s no mystery why.

Caitlin Clark, a Michael Cooper-slender 6-foot junior from the University of Iowa, has put together one of the great March Madnesses in NCAA history. In both her quarterfinal and semifinal games, Clark has scored 41 points an unprecedented twice in a row, the latter leading the Hawkeyes past top-ranked, defending champion, 36-0 South Carolina, 77-73. Clark and Iowa next face Louisiana State for the title.
