You might have caught my note at the bottom of Monday’s post that suggested I might not get today’s Slayed published in the morning, but guess what? Here we are.
Let’s change things up and put the latest additions to the Slaylist — which can be found on Spotify — at the top of today’s newsletter.
“Say Goodbye to Hollywood,” Ronnie Spector. This is famously a Billy Joel song, coming on the 1976 album Turnstiles, a year ahead of the monster hit The Stranger. But Joel has been quoted as saying that he wrote the song with Ronnie Spector in mind, and after hearing this, you know exactly how and why.
